DESCRIPTION
Tunisian Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a particular Citrus variety.

ORIGIN
It probably comes from Tunisia, as the name suggest.

PLANT
-Tree features: It’s a compact shaped, spherical and not too thorny plant.
-Leaves: leaves are round in shape and they smell amazing!

FRUIT
Shape: Fruit is a little yellow “mandarin” in shape, a little bit flattened at the poles.
-Taste: Juice taste really sweet and juicy. Skin is aromatic.
-Colour: Bright yellow to yellow according to the harvesting time!

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November to February, depending on climate conditions. However, it seems to hold well on the tree.
It usually blooms during Spring. Flowers are so fragrant and white in colour.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can eat it like a mandarin, or squeez it like a orange.
It can also be zested.
-Ornamental: Tunisian Bergamot is a good ornamental variety, because of its shape and its tendency to produce fruits and flowers.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a classic Lemon.
