DESCRIPTION
Caffin Clementine (Citrus clementina) is a sweet and early clementine variety.

ORIGIN
It probably takes its origin in Northern Africa, but there are many doubts about it.

PLANT
-Tree features: Plant grows following a compact- spherical shape. Branches are not too thorny.
-Leaves: Lanceolate, dark green leaves. Internodes seem to be short, that’s why of its compact shape.

FRUIT
Shape: Round shaped, to slightly flattened at the poles.
-Taste: It’s a sweet seedless clementine.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange depending on the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
Caffin Clementine starts to ripen from November to January about. It seems to be a early variety.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: As a clementine, you can eat it, ore squeeze it accordin to your “kitchen needs”.

-Ornamental: It’s a nice looking plant, especially when orange fruits or white fragrant flowers are still on it.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a classic Lemon.
