DESCRIPTION
Clemenruby (Citrus clementina) is a particular extra-early variety in our Citrus collection.
ORIGIN
It probably originates from Spain.
PLANT
-Tree features: It’s compact and spherical in growing, with short and connected branches.
-Leaves: Small, extremely dark-green lanceolate leaves, seem to be short in internodes.
FRUIT
–Shape: Round to slightly flattened at the poles.
-Taste: It’s one of the sweetest clementine we’ve ever tasted. Pulp is fleshy, and usually seedless.
-Colour: Orange to red-orange, depending on the harvesting time.
Pulp is light orange in colour.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from September to November, it’s a super early variety.
It usually blooms during Spring. Flowers are white and very fragrant.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Clemenruby is very sweet and fragrant. You can squeeze it or eat it like a classic mandarin.
-Ornamental: Its compactness is very nice looking, especially when there’re fruits and flowers on it.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.
This variety needs to be grown like a classic Lemon.
