DESCRIPTION
Flying Dragon Trifoliate Orange (Citrus triptera fly dragon) is a particular cold tollerant variety of our collection.

ORIGIN

It probably originates from Japan, where it’s been highly grown for hundreds of years.

PLANT

-Tree features: It is one of the most particular Citrus in shape. Branches are slender crooked , armed with large, downward-curved spines.

-Leaves: Leaves are usually dark- green in colour, small and trifoliate, as the name suggest.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is round in shape, and medium-small in size.
-Flavour: Skin tends to be sticky outside if zested. Juice is acid to bitter, and very seedy.
-Colour: It’s yellow to deep yellow outside, light yellow inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It’s a early variety: fruits ripen during Autumn (September-October about)
It usually starts to bloom during Spring. Flowers are white, very beautiful and fragrant.
