DESCRIPTION
Thompson Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is a particular variety of Grapefruit in our collection.

PLANT
-Tree features: High posture, but not so vigorous plant.
-Leaves: Lanceolate leaves which create a dense dark-green fooliage.
Sometimes a little bit of thorns can be found.

FRUIT
Shape: Round to slightly flattened at the poles depending on the growth.
-Taste: It’s a very sweet and juicy Grapefruit, one of the best in taste, and just few seeds inside.
-Colour: bright Orange to deep Orange depending on the harvesting time. Pulp is light orange inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November about, to January.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Thompson Grapefruit is so juicy! You can squeeze it making delicious grapefruit juices.
It’s also a good choice eating it just like an orange.
-Ornamental: It’s a beautiful dark-green plant, especially when there are fruits on it.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
