DESCRIPTION
Interdonato Lemon (Citrus limon) is nowadays a symbol of tradition and high Italian quality.
ORIGIN
It comes from Sicily, southern Italy, where it’s highly grown.
Messina and the ionian coast are the best places to find this amazing Lemon.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is so vigorous, with long and strong branches.
-Leaves: Leaves are dark-green in colour, medium-big in size and lanceolate in shape.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is a medium-big Lemon long in shape, with a particular nipple on the apex!
-Flavour: Interdonato Lemon is so fragrant! Skin is very aromatic, pulp is juicy, high in quality and refreshing in taste.
-Colour: Bright yellow to deep yellow outside, according to the harvesting time.
Pulp is light yellow in colour.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: It usually starts to ripen from December to Spring depending on climate conditions.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: This is a high quality lemon to make different recipes.
You can use the skin to aromatize fish, meat, or vegetables!
Marmalades, liquors, raw fish recipes, limoncello, are amazing choices to make with it!
-Ornamental: It’s a nice looking plant.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
