DESCRIPTION
Willow leaf Lemon (Citrus limon salicifolia) is a particular lemon variety of our collection.

ORIGIN

We still don’t know its origin at the moment.
It probably comes from southern Italy.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is medium in vigour, with long typical “willow branches” as the name suggest.
-Leaves: Leaves are long, falling, medium in size and bright green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: This fruit resemble a classic lemon in size and shape. It’s slightly pear-shaped at the petiol.
-Flavour: Willow leaf Lemon tastes like a classic lemon.
Skin is kinda aromatic, pulp is refreshing and juicy! Sometimes little seeds can be found.
-Colour: Light yellow to deep yellow depending on the harvesting time.
Pulp is light yellow in colour.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to ripen from December to Spring, according to the flowering time.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, but flowers can be discovered in other seasons too!

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: You can squeeze this refreshing juice, and drink it in the morning!
You can marinate meat and fish with it, make amazing marmalades, liquors, sauces…
Skin can be zested to aromatize every recipe you need to!
-Ornamental: It’s an amazing variety for its particular willow shape!

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
