DESCRIPTION
Mexican Lime (Citrus aurantifolia) is a high quality lime variety of our collection!
It’s also called Key lime, Bartender’s lime, and West Indian lime. 

ORIGIN

As the name suggest, it seems to originate from Mexico, where it’s highly commercially grown and used in the kitchen.

PLANT

-Tree features: This is a thorny, beautiful compact-spherical plant in shape.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, bright green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a small round lime in shape and size.
-Flavour: Skin is so aromatic. Pulp is very juicy, with a few seeds inside. It is one of the most high quality limes.
-Colour: It’s bright green in colour outside, light green inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: Mexican Lime is a 4 season variety. Plants produce fruits every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, then it continues flowering during Summer and Autumn.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: For its quality, this fruit is used in a milion of ways in the kitchen.
You can make amazing drinks with it!
You can squeeze the pulp to marinate fish, meat, or simply adding a refreshing flavour to your dish.

-Ornamental: For its 4 season tendency, it is one of the most ornamental citrus of our collection.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -4°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
