Tahitian Lime (Citrus latifolia)
DESCRIPTION
Tahitian Lime (Citrus latifolia) is the classic lime we all know!
ORIGIN
Its origin is not known. It probably comes from Caribbean but it’s not sure.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is compacted and spherical in shape. Sometimes it can be a little bit thorny.
-Leaves: Leaves are medium in size, lanceolate, dark-green in colour.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is a “green lemon” in size and shape.
-Flavour: Very intense and aromatic skin. pulp is aromatic and acid too. Fruit is seedless.
-Colour: Green to bright green when ready to be harvested. Then it becomes yellow and it usually falls.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: It’s a 4 season variety. It can produce fruits almost every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time, but it can produce flowers in other periods.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Tahitian Lime can be highly used in the kitchen!

It can also be zested to make different fish and meat recipes.
-Ornamental: It’s a nice looking plant, in colour and quality.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -4°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
