DESCRIPTION
White Corrugated Limette (Citrus limetta) is a particular Lime of our collection.
ORIGIN
We still don’t know its origin at the moment.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is usually medium in size and vigour, with visible thorns on the branches.
-Leaves: Leaves are bilobate, medium in size and bright green in colour.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is a rough “corrugated” lime, round in shape, sometimes slightly oboval.
-Flavour: Pulp is acid and so refreshing. Skin has a good aroma.
-Colour: Light yellow to yellow-greeny according to the harvesting time.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: White corrugated Limette is a 4 season variety. It can produce fruits every season.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, but also Summer and Autumn sometimes.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: As a intense lime, it can be zested or squeezed on your dishes, according to your needs.
Great in combination with fish and meat, or to make delicious cakes.
-Ornamental: it’s a nice looking ornamental plant.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
