DESCRIPTION
Keraji Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) is one of the most cold resistent mandarin we have in our collection.

ORIGIN

It originates from Japaen, where it’s highly grown as a cold tollerant and sweet variety.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is very compact-spherical in shape, sometimes a little bit thorny too.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate to round-shaped and bright green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a little mandarin in size and shape.
-Flavour: It’s acid-sweet and juicy inside, sometimes a little bit seedy too.
-Colour: It’s deep yellow to light orange outside.
Pulp is light yellow inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to ripen from November to January about.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: As a mandarin, also Keraji Mandarin can be squeezed, zested or used according to our needs in the kitchen!
For the resonable amount of acid content, the fruit can be also used like a lemon, according to your personal taste.
-Ornamental: It’s one of the best ornamental citrus, for its cold tollerance, and its tendency to produce fruits.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
