DESCRIPTION
Thompson navel Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a late Citrus variety in our collection.

ORIGIN
It probably comes from California.
The Thomson variety originated as a limb sport of Washington.

PLANT
-Tree features: It looks like a Washington Navel Orange in size and growth. It’s a compact and spherical plant.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, usually extremely dark-green in colour.

FRUIT
Shape: Fruit is usually round shaped.
-Taste: It tases so sweet and juicy! It’s a high quality sweet Orange.
-Colour: Light orange, to bright orange in colour outside.
Pulp is yellow-orange in colour, fleshy and usually seedless.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from January to February depending on the harvesting time.
It usually blooms during Spring. Flowers are white and very fragrant.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Thompson Navel Sweet Orange is a great choice to drink a refreshing and bright juice!
Alzo zests can be used to make cakes or liquors.
-Ornamental: It’s a nice looking ornamental plant.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a classic Lemon.
