DESCRIPTION
Faustrime (Microcitrus australasica x Eustis Limequat) is a particular hybrid, very similar to a Finger Lime, also called “Caviar Lime”.
Why? Because of the particular high quality vesicles in the pulp

ORIGIN

This hybrid comes from Australia, but has been hybridized in Europe, to be higher in quality and size.

PLANT

-Tree features: Tree is so compact in shape, and extremely thorny, it’s impenetrable.
-Leaves: Leaves are bright green in colour, lanceolate to round in shape, and aromatic in flavour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a medium big “Fingerlime” in size and shape.
-Flavour: Skin is so aromatic, intense in aroma. If you try this amazing fruit, you can taste a lime flavour, and then it comes a particular pepper aftertaste.
-Colour: Skin is usually green at first, then it becomes yellow, just like a limequat.
Pulp is somewhat green-white

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: Faustrime is a 4 season variety, it basically produces every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time, then it continues during Summer and Autumn.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: Chefs love it!
Fruit can be squeezed on raw fish, oysters, and other different recipes.
For its particular lime-pepper taste, it’s been highly used in the fine dining.
-Ornamental: It’s  a nice looking ornamental variety for its fruiting tendency.
