DESCRIPTION
Minneola Tangelo (Citrus reticulata x Citrus paradisi) is considered to be a hybrid, derived from the cross between a Duncan Grapefruit and a Dancy Tangerine.

PLANT
-Tree features: a medium vigorous plant with long, flexible and falling branches.
-Leaves: Long dark-green leaves, similar to the ones of a Grapefruit.

FRUIT
Shape: Oval to slightly oblate depending on the growth, with a typical elongated petiol.
-Taste: It taste like a Mandarin at first, then it comes a Grapefruit aftertaste. It’s so juicy, and just a little bit seedy.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange depending on the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November to February.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: being highly juicy, Minneola Tangelo can be used to make sweet and fragrant juices.
It’s also a good choice to zest it, or simply eating it like an orange.
-Ornamental: It’s a beautiful and generous plant.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
