Webber Tangelo (Citrus reticulata x Citrus paradisi)

DESCRIPTION
Webber Tangelo (Citrus reticulata x Citrus paradisi) is a particular Citrus hybrid, derived from a cross between a Mandarin and a Grapefruit.

PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is spherical and very compact in growing. There are a lot of thorns found.
-Leaves: Leaves are quite lanceolate, long, with a tendency to be double sometimes.

FRUIT
Shape: Webber Tangelo produce round to oblate fruit, depending on the harvesting time.
-Taste: It’s so refreshing, and it actually tastes like an exact mix between a Mandarin and a Grapefruit.
-Colour: Light Yellow to deep yellow depending on the climate and the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from October to December.
It usually blooms during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can peel it and eat it like a mandarin, or squeeze it like a Grapefruit.
-Ornamental: It’s a compact, nice looking plant. That’s why it can be used like an ornamental citrus too.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
