DESCRIPTION
Ichang Lemon (Citrus wilsonii) is a cold resistent Lemon coming from Japan.

PLANT
-Tree features: Compact and spherical in shape. Branches are thorny and dense.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, dark-green in colour, sometimes slightly bilobate too.

FRUIT
Shape: Fruit is a round lemon. Sometimes it’s slighly oblate at the petiol.
-Taste: It tastes like a lemon. Its skin has an intense aroma. It’s juicy and acid inside.
-Colour: Ichang Lemon is bright yellow to deep yellow depending on the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November to February about. However, it tends to hold on well on the tree.
It usually blooms during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: It can be used zested just like a classic lemon.
It can also be used squeezed, candied or to make delicious marmalades.
-Ornamental: It’s a beautiful dark-green plant, which is also tollerant to cold.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
