DESCRIPTION
Variegated Lemon (Citrus limon foliis variegatis) is one of the most ornamental and quality valued lemons in our greenhouse.
PLANT
-Tree features: Medium vigorous plant, with variegated and slightly thorny fooliage.
-Leaves: Lanceolate, variegated (2/3 green-yellow colours) leaves, which create a compact and nice looking shape.
FRUIT
–Shape: This fruit looks like a classic lemon in shape and size.
-Taste: It tastes like a lemon. Aromatic skin, and acid-refreshing pulp.
Some seeds are found inside.
-Colour: Variegated if not completely ripened, light yellow to yellow when fully ripened.
Pulp is bright yellow!
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Variegated Lemon tends to be a 4 season variety, with 2/3 flowering season per year.
It usually blooms during Spring, but flowers can be found during summer and Autumn also.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can zest its skin to give flavours to your recipes.
Amazing if squeezed to fish and meat!
-Ornamental: Its colour gives it a nice ornamental looking.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -5°C.
This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
