DESCRIPTION
Rangpur Red Lime (Citrus limonia) is a “generous” and highly productive Citrus plant.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is usually not so vigorous, compact and spherical in shape.
Sometimes small thorns can be found.
-Leaves: Leaves are bright green, and lanceolate in shape.
FRUIT
–Shape: Fruit is a small lime.
-Taste: Its taste is very refreshing and a little bit acid.
There are seeds inside.
-Colour: This is a “red lime”, so it becomes extremely red outside.
Inside it’s light yellow in colour.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Rangpur Red Lime is a 4 season variety. It basically produces fruits every season of the year.
It usually blooms durins spring, then it starts to produce flowers during summer and autumn also.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Its refreshing flavour can be used added to fish or meat. Trust me, it gives something else!
Also zesting it can be a good choice. As a lime, it can be used to make drinks or squeezed.
-Ornamental: This is a high value ornamental variety. Its tendence to reflowering, and its compactness makes it a great ornamental choice.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -5°C.
This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
