DESCRIPTION
Fina Clementine (Citrus clementina) is a good quality Clementine variety of our collection.
ORIGIN
It probably originates from Spain, where it’s highly grown for its good quality and its sweetness.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is usually compact-spherical in shape. As other clementines, it’s somewhat thornless.
-Leaves: Leaves are medium in size, lanceolate in shape, and bright green in colour.
Internodes are quite next to each other: that’s why of its compactness.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fina Clementine can be round shaped to slightly flattened at the poles. Skin is quite thin.
-Flavour: It’s so sweet and juicy! It also is usually seedless.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange outside, light orange inside.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: This is a early ripening Citrus variety.
Fruits starts to be ready for harvesting from November-December.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: This variety can be used just like any other clementine in the kitchen.
You can squeeze it, use the skin to be candied or zested according to your needs.
-Ornamental: It’s a nice ornamental variety for its compactness and its colour.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
