DESCRIPTION
4 Season Citrangequat 2nd selecion. (Fortunella margarita x (Poncirus trifoliata x Citrus sinensis)) is a trigeneric hybrid obtained from the cross between a Citrange and a Kumquat.
PLANT
-Tree features: Very compact growing, with a tendency to be spherical.
Sometimes little thorns can be found.
-Leaves: Small dark-green round shaped leaves. Internodes tend to be short.
FRUIT
-Taste: Pulp is fleshy and acid, just like a classic lemon. Skin is fragrant.
-Colour: Yellow, to deep yellow/orange dependin on the time of harvesting. Inside its colour is light yellow.
Sometimes seeds can be found too.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
It’s a 4 season variety. So it basically produces flowers and fruits every season of the year (except for Winter obviously).
It usually blooms 2/3 imes per year. Flowers are white and very fragrant.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can squeeze it like a classic lemon, or even zest it to make cakes.
It’s also good to make marmalade.
-Ornamental: It looks nice! 4 Season Citrangequat produce a lot of flowers and fruits!
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.
This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
