DESCRIPTION
Red Rangpur Lime (Citrus limonia) is a particular lime variety of our collection.
Common names for the this fruit include Rangpur in India, Canton lemon in South China, Hime lemon in Japan, Cravo lemon in Brazil, and mandarin-lime in the United States

ORIGIN

It is of Indian origins, where it’s been highly grown wild for hundreds of years.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is medium in vigour, very compact-spherical in shape, sometimes a little bit thorny.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, bright green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a red lime in size and shape.
-Flavour: skin is kinda aromatic. Pulp is highly juicy and sometimes seedy.
-Colour: As the name suggest, it’s red outside and light orange inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: Red Rangpur Lime is a 4 season variety. It tends to produce fruits every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, but also during Summer and Autumn sometimes.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: You can use it just like a classic lemon.
Flavour is so refreshing, delicious to make cakes, marmalades, to marinate fish and meat!
So you can use it according to your needs in the kitchen!

-Ornamental: It’s a nice looking ornamental plant for its 4 season tendency.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
