DESCRIPTION
Ichangensis x Sinensis is one of the most cold hardy sweet orange we know
Because of its cross (Ichangensis x Orange) it can resist to cold temperatures!
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is similar to a Navel Orange. So it’s so vigorous and strong.
-Leaves: Ichangensis x Sinensis fooliage tends to be dark green. We can also find Thorns sometimes.
FRUIT
-Taste: Fruit is very juicy and sweet. It’s bigger than a Washington Navel Orange, with a High juice yield.
-Colour: Yellow/Orange inside, orange outside.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from mid November to January according to climate conditions.
It usually blooms during Spring.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Just like a navel Orange, you can squeeze it to make orange juices. Very good zested to make cakes.
Also good to make marmalades and salads.
-Ornamental: It’s a beautiful dark green plant. Its spherical shape makes it very good looking!
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -12°C. Very resistent!!
This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
