Nova Tangelo (Citrus clementina x Orlando Tangelo)

DESCRIPTION
Nova Tangelo (Citrus clementina x Orlando Tangelo) is a particular hybrid, derived from a cross between a clementine and a Orlando Tangelo.

PLANT
-Tree features: Plant grows very compact and spherical in shape.
-Leaves: Leaves resembles the ones of clementines. They are green and lanceolate.

FRUIT
Shape: Flattened at the poles.
-Taste: It’s a fleshy sweet variety.
There’s no seeds inside, only sometimes seeds can be found, but it’s not easy.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange, according to climate conditions.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November to February. It tends to be of better quality early.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can squeeze it or peel and eat it like a classic clementine.
Nova Tangelo is so sweet in flavour. You can also use it zested or to make marmalades.
-Ornamental: It’s a good ornamental variety because it’s so compact and rich in fruiting.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
