DESCRIPTION
Tuscanian Lemon (Citrus limon) is one of the most traditional, high quality lemon of Tuscany.
ORIGIN
It comes from Tuscany Region, Italy, where it’s been highly grown for years.
PLANT
-Tree features: Plant is medium in vigour.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, bright green in colour, medium in size.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is a classic lemon in shape and size.
-Flavour: Skin is so refreshing in taste, pulp is acid and usually seedy.
-Colour: Bright yellow to deep yellow outside, according to climate conditions.
Light yellow inside.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: This is a 4 season Citrus variety. So it basically produces fruits every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time, then it continues during Summer and Autumn also.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Tuscanian lemon can be highly used in the kitchen.
You can use it squeezing it just like a classic lemon.
Marmalades, liquors, particular recipes are great choices to use it.
-Ornamental: it’s a good ornamental choice for its shape and its 4 season tendency.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
