DESCRIPTION
Marrakech Limette (Citrus aurantifolia) is a particular lime of our collection!
ORIGIN
As the name suggest, it comes from Morocco, where it’s been highly grown for years!
PLANT
-Tree features: This is one of the most compact and spheric variety of our greenhouse.
-Leaves: Leaves are usually extremely dark-green in colour, round in shape.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is a seedless limette, medium in size.
-Flavour: Skin is so aromatic. Pulp is very juicy, seedless like i mentioned before, and intense in aroma.
-Colour: Bright green outside when fully ripened, light yellow inside.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: It tends to be 4 season in fruiting, so it can basically produce fruits every season of the year.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, but flowers can be produced during Summer and Autumn also.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Marrakech Limette is a great choice in the kitchen!
For its aroma, it can be used squeezed to marinate fish and meat.
It can also be zested to make cakes and give food an exceptional flavour.
-Ornamental: It’s a great ornamental choice for its shape and its compactness.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -4°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
