Palestine Sweet Lime (Citrus limettoides)

DESCRIPTION
Palestine Sweet  Lime (Citrus limettoides) also called Indian Sweet Limette is a particular acidless lemon of our collection.
It’s also called Limoo Shirin, or Mitha Nimbu.

ORIGIN
It comes from India, where it’s been grown for several years.
It is one of the most ancient Citrus we know.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is medium compact in shape, with a classic lemon growth.
Sometimes thorns can be found.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate to slightly round-shaped.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is usually similar to a classic lemon, somewhat more round in shape.
-Flavour: It’s very juicy, seedless and basically acidless.
-Colour: Light yellow to bright yellow outside, with a tendency to remain a little bit greeny.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to ripen from December to February.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: Palestine Sweet Lime is an acidless variety. So you can squeeze its fruit, or zest it according to your needs in the kitchen!
-Ornamental: It’s a beautiful ornamental lime, because of its colour and its tendency to produce fruits.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
