DESCRIPTION
Strawberry Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a high quality orange variety of our collection.

ORIGIN

We still don’t know its origin at the moment.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is very similar to a Washington Navel orange in shape.
So you can see how it’s compact and spherical in shape. Sometimes little thorns can be found too.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate to slightly round shaped, and extremely dark-green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a medium round orange in shape and size.
-Flavour: This is a high quality variety for its intense flavour. Pulp has a particular aroma, it tastes so sweet, with a particular strawberry aftertaste.
-Colour: Skin is orange to deep orange depending on the harvesting time.
Pulp is usually orange, with a particular red colour sometimes.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to produce from January about to Spring time depending on flowering time.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring.
Flowers are white and extremely fragrant.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: For its sweetness, Strawberry Sweet Orange can be highly used in the kitchen.
You can make amazing sweet juices with it, or zesting the fruit to give your cakes, and other recipes a special flavour.

-Ornamental: For its shape and its beautiful fruit, it’s a nice ornamental choice.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
