DESCRIPTION
Bouquet de Fleurs Bitter Orange (Citrus aurantium) is a particular cold resistent citrus variety in our collection.

ORIGIN

It probably comes from France.

PLANT
-Tree features: It’s shape is very compact and spherical. It’s one of the less vigorous varieties we have in our greenhouse.
-Leaves: Medium, round extremely dark green leaves. Internodes seem to be very short, that’s why of its shape.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is usually round to slightly flattened at the poles.
-Flavour: Skin is very aromatic and intense in flavour. Pulp is juicy, sometimes seedy and bitter in taste.
-Colour: Yellow to Yellow orange depending on the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: Bouquet de Fleurs Bitter Orange a 4 season variety. So it produces flowers and fruits every season of the year (Except for winter obviously).
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time, but flowers can be seen during Summer and Autumn too.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: You can zest the skin, it’s so intense to make liquors, marmalades (very good) and cakes.
-Ornamental: High ornamental value, because of its resistence and colour.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
