Tacle (Citrus sinensis x Citrus clementina)

DESCRIPTION
Tacle (Citrus sinensis x Citrus clementina) is considered to be a hybrid between a Tarocco Orange and a Clementine

ORIGIN

We still don’t know exactly its origin. It probably comes from southern Italy.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is an exact mixture between an Orange and a Clementine in growth.
-Leaves: Leaves are medium to big, lanceolate and dark-green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Tacle Fruit is usually flattened at the poles, medium in size.
-Flavour: It’s highly juicy, sweet, with a bloody aftertaste.
-Colour: It’s usually orange to deep orange according to harvesting time.
Pulp can be light orange to orange.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to produce from November to February about.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: It can be squeezed or eaten like a classic Orange-clementine.
It can also be zested to make delicious recipes.
-Ornamental: It’s a compact, medium vigorous plant.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -6°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
