DESCRIPTION
Brazilian Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a particular high quality orange variety of our collection.

ORIGIN

As the name suggest, it probably comes from Brazil, where it’s highly grown as one of the main country in citrus production.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plants are very similar to Washington Navel oranges in compactness and shape.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate in shape, dark-green in colour and medium in size.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a classic orange in shape and size.
-Flavour: Pulp is so crunchy and sweet in taste. it is also seedless.
-Colour: Bright orange to deep orange in colour outside.
It is bright orange inside.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: Brazilian Sweet Orange is an early ripening variety. It starts to be ready from November-December.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: This orange variety can be used just like any other oranges in the kitchen.
You can make amazing salads with it, delicious marmalades, aromatic sauces.
Skin can be zested to make cakes, liquors or simply to give your recipes a special flavour.
-Ornamental: It’s a nice ornamental variety for its compactness.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
