DESCRIPTION
Changsha USA Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) is a particular cold resistent Citrus variety coming from United States.

PLANT
-Tree features: Not too vigorous. Branches tend to be long and weeping in growth.
-Leaves: Medium, extremely dark green leaves in colour, lanceolate in shape.

FRUIT
Shape: Fruit is slightly flattened at the poles, sometimes can be round too.
-Taste: Changsha U.S. Mandarin is usually fleshy and sweet inside, even if it doesn’t emanates an intense aroma.
-Colour: Orange, to red-orange according to the harvesting time. It often becomes red in November, creating impressive colours.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
Changsha USA Mandarin starts to ripen so early. Fruits can be found from September to December about, but tend to hold well on the tree for several months.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can use it like a classic Mandarin.
-Ornamental: High ornamental value. Plants create a mixture of intense colours, dark-green fooliage, red fruits and white flowers make it one of the best ornamental Citrus.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -10°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
