Tarocco Tapi Orange (Citrus sinensis)

DESCRIPTION
Tarocco Tapi Orange (Citrus sinensis) is one of the vast group of Tarocco oranges known.

PLANT
-Tree features: Long and falling branches are one of the main caracteristics. Branches tends to lignify quickly.
-Leaves: Leaves are big and a little bit round-shaped. We can see little leaf veinings too

FRUIT
Shape Round to slighty oval depending on the growth
-Taste: It taste so sweet, with a bloody aftertaste.
-Colour: Skin is orange to deep orange depending on the harvesting time.
Pulp is orange/red, less or more pigmented depending on the climate.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
Tarocco Tapi Orange starts to ripen from December to February according to climate conditions.
It usually blooms during Spring.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: You can squeeze it like a classic orange. Juices are just amazing! You can also zest it to make cakes.
It’s a good choice to make marmalades too
-Ornamental: It’s a vigorous and beautiful plant.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
