DESCRIPTION
New Zealand Lemonade (Citrus limon x Citrus reticulata) is a sweet lemon variety coming from New Zealand, also grown in Australia and United States.
It derives from a cross between a Lemon and a Mandarin.

ORIGIN

It comes from New Zealand, as the name suggest.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plants is medium in vigour, a little bit thorny and has usually a classic tree shape.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate, very dark-green in colour.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is just like a classic lemon in shape, usually medium in size.
-Flavour: Its taste is just like… Lemonade! This lemon is very very sweet!
-Colour: It usually is deep yellow in colour when fully ripened.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to produce fruits from Winter to Spring, according to flowering.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring, but can produce flowers in different seasons because of its 4 season tendency.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: The New Zealand Lemonade can be eaten just like an orange! Pulp is very sweet, and can be squeezed to make amazing sweet lemonades!
Skin can be zested to make cakes, curds and a bilion of salads!
-Ornamental: For its flowering tendency, and its dark-green shape, this variety has a nice looking – ornamental impact!

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -5°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
