Clementine x Dancy Tangerine
DESCRIPTION
Clementine x Dancy Tangerine, as the name suggest, is a particular Citrus variety obtained from the Cross of a Clementine and a Tangerine.
PLANT
-Tree features: It grows following a spherical shape (depending on pruning also).
It is compact and dark green in colour.
-Leaves:Leaves are lanceolate. There are few thorns.
FRUIT
-Taste: It’s so sweet and fleshy, it’s a good quality fruit. skin is thin and tends to remain well joined with the pulp.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange depending on the time of harvest.
Pulp is orange too, and there’s no seeds inside (however sometimes we can found like 1/2 seeds)
SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from November to January, according to climate conditions.
It usually blooms during Spring. Flowers are white, small and very fragrant.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: you can eat it like a classic Clementine. Otherwise you can squeeze it, or also zest it to make cakes.
-Ornamental: Clementine x Dancy Tangerine It’s a pretty nice plant, especially when it’s full of flowers and fruits.
Also for its dark colour.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.
This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
