ORIGIN
It comes from southern Italy.
PLANT
-Tree features: Red Tarocco Sweet Orange is a highly vigorous plant, with long and a little bit thorny branches.
-Leaves: Big, lanceolate to round-shaped leaves, bright green in colour.
FRUIT
-Shape: Fruit is usually round-shaped.
-Flavour: It’s sweet and highly juicy, with a typical bloody aftertaste.
It’s usually seedless.
-Colour: Fruit can be orange to deep orange outside.
Pulp is usually orange to red-pigmented inside, depending on the climate conditions.
SEASON OF RIPENESS
Season of ripeness: It usually ripens during Winter
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time.
HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: If you like bloody juices, this variety is for you!
You can squeeze it, and i can assure is amazing. You can also zest it , ore use it for a milion of recipes.
-Ornamental: It’s a vigorous, strong and bright in colour plant.
COLD RESISTENCE
According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -9°C.
This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
