DESCRIPTION
Papuana Microcitrus (Microcitrus australasica) is a particular Citrus coming from Australia.

PLANT
-Tree features: Compact and spherical shape. Sometimes branches can be lond and falling in growth.
-Leaves: Leaves are small, narrow, lanceolate and dark green in colour.

FRUIT
Shape: Fruit looks like a finger, that’s why it resembles to a Finger Lime.
-Taste: Aromatic skin and a little bit acid pulp, with a particular pepper flavour.
-Colour: Usually green to light yellow depending on the harvesting time.

SEASON OF RIPENESS
It starts to ripen from October to December about, according to climate conditions.
It usually blooms during Spring time. Flowers are white and small.

HOW TO USE IT
-In the Kitchen: Squeezing it you can see those little vesicles, typical of the Finger Lime.
So you can basically add it to fish, meat or vegetables to give a refreshing and aromatic flavour.
-Ornamental: Plant’s growh is particular. Papuana Microcitrus tends to be highly compacted.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -4°C.

This variety needs to be grown like a normal Lemon.
