Valencia Late Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a particular orange variety of our collection.

ORIGIN

It comes from Spain, where it’s been highly grown for years.

PLANT

-Tree features: Plant is compact-spherical in shape.
-Leaves: Leaves are lanceolate to slightly round-shaped , bright green in colour and medium in size.

FRUIT

-Shape: Fruit is a medium round to slightly oval sweet orange.
-Flavour: It is very juicy inside, a little bit seedy and refreshing in taste.
-Colour: Orange to deep orange outside.
Pulp is usually light yellow to deep yellow-orange in colour.

SEASON OF RIPENESS

Season of ripeness: It starts to ripen during Summer time: it’s a late ripening Citrus variety.
It usually starts to bloom during Spring time. Flowers are white and very intense in aroma.

HOW TO USE IT

-In the Kitchen: Valencia Late Sweet Orange can be highly used in the kitchen, especially for its late tendency.
You can make amazing orange juices, marmalades, liquors, desserts and salads with it!

-Ornamental: It’s a nice ornamental choice, because fruits hold well on trees.

COLD RESISTENCE

According to our tests, in the Greenhouse, or in a covered area, it can resist to a temperature of -8°C.

This variety needs to be maintained like a normal Lemon.
